Hi, I’m mangz, a Filipino transplant currently residing in Baltimore, MD. I have been blogging off and on for more than two years now (previously with my old page, Net3rror.com). I grew up in the tropical island of Cebu and migrated to the United States almost a decade ago. I have always been interested in a lot of stuff and I started TacGeekDaddy as a web journal of my daily adventures in technology and computing, Linux, my budding interests in photography, indie pop music and the new and interesting sport of airsoft. Why TacGeekDaddy? It is a combination of “tactical – geek – daddy”, a somewhat imperfect description of me. On the professional side, I earn my keeps as a Network Administrator at Johns Hopkins Hospital where I do desktop support for windows and mac users. I do pretty much anything that would involve your desktop computer. Beyond work, I am avid supporter of the open source movement and have been a Linux user for more than 5 years now. On the domestic front, I am married and have three kids — and they take a up a most of my time when I am not being a geek.
